Carolina Rocha no atelier, em Angra do Heroísmo

Carolina Rocha was born in 1987 in the Azores. She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Fine Arts in 2013 at the Escola Superior de Artes e Design in Caldas da Rainha. In 2023, she completed her training as a resident artist at the art school A Base. In the summer of 2023, she participated in Fuso – Laboratório Imagem em Movimento. In 2017, she was featured in the catalog “PEAC 2017 – Portuguese Emerging Catalogue,” edited in Lisbon, and in 2015, she was selected for the painting exhibition titled “International Painting Prize of the Focus Abengoa Foundation” in Seville. In 2013, she received the Artistic Creation Grant from the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Azores, which resulted in a solo exhibition titled “Mysteries of Ink.” In 2012, she won first place in the Labjovem contest. She has participated in collective and individual exhibitions since 2010. She currently lives and works in Angra do Heroísmo, on Terceira Island. She is represented in several private and public collections, including: Clube Soroptimist Internacional, Museu António Duarte in Caldas da Rainha, Museum of Angra do Heroísmo, and Centro de Artes Contemporâneas Arquipélago.
